Ford Tractor Engine Parts

Ford tractor engine parts are typically divided into engine block components and engine add on parts.

The basic engine block parts are the engine overhaul kit (rebuild kit) which includes the following parts.

A major overhaul kit for ford tractors includes pistons, piston pins, piston pin retainer clips, piston rings, main bearing set, connecting rod (con rod ) bearing set, con rod bushings, camshaft bearings, upper gasket set, lower gasket set, rear and front crankshaft seals.

Main bearing sets are stocked in several oversize options such as 0.10, 0.20, 0.30, and 0.040. Connecting rod bearings are similarly stocked as 0.10, 0.20, 0.30 and 0.40 oversized.

Pistons are available in various oversize also, namely the 0.10, 0.20, 0.30 and 0.40 oversize options.

Ford Tractor Parts for the Cylinder sleeves (liners) are sold separately from the rebuild kit. Ford engines are most times built sleeveless.  This is the phenomenon whereby the piston moved directly in the engine block. As the engine wears out due to normal wear and tear, the repairs to the damaged engine block are typically completed by re-boring the engine block, and pressing in a cylinder sleeve (cylinder liner).  These liners can be either finished or unfinished. The finished liners are more expensive and will require no additional machining; the piston can be fitted directly into the finished sleeve. Unfinished sleeves are used when re-boring the engine block for the sleeves is necessary.  The rebore process is necessary to fit oversize pistons into a used cylinder liner.

Other Ford tractor engine parts includes the camshaft, crankshaft, balancer, oil pump, connecting rod, freeze plug, rocker shaft arm, exhaust manifold, intake manifold, muffler, flywheel, ring gear, fuel injection line, fuel pump, fuel injection pump, pump repair kit, tachometer cable, oil pressure sender, water temperature sender, fuel injector, (simms fuel system ), ford tractor fuel injector (CAV and  Simms), radiator, water pump, lower radiator hose and upper radiator hose.

The oil pump can have a repair kit, or separate parts like the main shaft. Intake and exhaust manifolds are of various types. Some are simple three and four cylinder engine manifolds, and some are combination manifolds with eth intake and exhaust is intertwined. The only issue here is that both need to be changed at the same time.

Ford tractor engine parts for the cylinder head will include intake valve, exhaust valve, valve spring, and valve keeper. Parts such as cam followers, push rods, and valve seals will need to be obtained separately.

    Ford Tractor Radiator parts

A tractor cooling system will include a radiator, radiator fan, fan pulley, fan belt, water pump, lower radiator hose, upper radiator hose, clamps, thermostat, water temperature gauge, temperature sensors, and radiator cap, drain faucet, tank heater, engine block heater, gaskets and appropriate coolant.

The ford 5000 tractor has the 134 CID gas engine, 175 CID Diesel engine, 192 CID Gas engine, 201 CID diesel engine, 201 CID gas engine, 233 CID diesel engine, the 256 CID diesel engine, or the 256 CID gas engine, 256 CID Turbo diesel engine, 268 CID non turbocharged engine, 268 CID turbo diesel, 401 CID Diesel engine or the 401 CID Turbo Diesel engine.

All of these vary with the amount of horse power that the engine is capable of, and the type of fuel used.

The Ford Tractor radiator for the 5000 is of two types. These are either with oil cooler or without oil cooler. The earlier models of the tractor were not manufactured with the oil cooler bolted onto the radiator, as were the models after 1965.

The radiator cap can either be a 13 lb or a 7 lb cap pressure. This tractor typically carries a six (6) blade radiator fan.

This Ford tractor radiator water pump can be one of two types-either a water pump with a single groove pulley, or for the tractors manufactured 1965 to 1975, the water pump uses a double groove pulley. The BSD442 engine uses a single pulley without a back housing.

The thermostats can be of three different temperature ratings. Ford tractor radiator for the super Dexta is available for the years 1962 to 1964. For this tractor, there is a 7

For the years 1955 to 1965, the engines use a water pump with a single pulley, regardless if the engine was a gas ror diesel engine.

Some of the Super Dexta’s uses the BSD333 engine, and this water pump is a single pulley without a back housing.

There are two ford tractor radiators for the Super Dexta, depending on if the engine is a three (3) cylinder engine or a four (4) cylinder engine.  The upper radiator hose and the lower radiator hose vary depending on the type of engine used.  The thermostat ranges from 168 degrees to 192 degrees.

Fan belts are available for most models of Ford Tractors.
